Having everyone on a realm be your faction means ALOT more players. Whereas the 50/50 split could make a big realm feel like a low pop one. I'm not sure of the status of the big pvp realms but I'm pretty sure the top ones like sargeras, Illidan and tichondrius are all weighted one way or the other as well.(again pvpers can chime in here)Tons of guilds and players migrated off realm after those changes, many went to WrA for RP. Walk up RP is present but it is 50/50 in whether it'll be good or bad (Same on MG Alliance.) The AH commodities (mats, consumables etc) is region wide nowadays. Gear you still want a lot of buyers/sellers I guess. Draenor, kazzak are the most populated ones with 95% horde.There's usually guilds and communities dedicated to it, and people use addons such as TRP to write profiles and so on to supplement the experience. On EU the only "real" RP server left is Argent Dawn, the rest are either dead or are RP realms only in name. OCE realms are hosted in Sydney and all Latin American / Brazilian realms in Chicago. I ran some queries on all NA servers today for population estimates as found using a check of those in the LFG chat channel. This is obviously not perfect but is a much closer estimate than Ironforge.Pro or CensusPlusWOTLK.
